Should the President of the U.S. be the highest paid Government employee?
Hey some CIA agents get paid good money and their skills are far beyond the presidents. I would say a basic "no". Because the presidents skill set is undeserving compared to certain operatives and then you have special agents. Which should get paid the most out of anyone in the government. He still doesn't have to pay taxes ever again.
I do believe those in military, CIA and FIB should get higher rates, specially for those who risk their lives.
I personally don't even think anyone should have full terms in the government. There's literally still people in office from when segregation was legal. They will inherently have bias, on top of that the way technology moves no one should be allowed to have a permanent status in the government. That being said the president shouldn't have the highest paying job in the government. They're essentially a figure head for us to publicly abuse, they should get a fourth of what they make a year, especially since they keep their payment for the rest of their life...
I wasn't referring to politicians when I say people who work in the government. My husband used to have a government job and he is IT. It was a good job in some aspects in that the pay and insurance was great but it was bad in that he never felt appreciated.
