Can someone list some modern forum softwares such as discourse, muut, etc etc
Hey there @JoyFreak glad to have you back. Xenforo is very good!I would suggest XenForo, vBulletin 5, IPB and Woltlab. All them are modern designs and have capabilities to extend it to more than just a forum. You can turn it into a blog, media gallery, resources or more! Check out their websites and look into it in detail and decide which one is for you.
Thank you! I'm glad to be back! Things looks so much smoother now. Yes XenForo has always been good in my eyes. Definitely with XF2 is a huge improvement of XF1. I can't wait to see what 2.2 brings, that one is only round the corner.Hey there @JoyFreak glad to have you back. Xenforo is very good!
Discourse is $100/month. Self host is free.
If anyone can afford Discourse for $100 a month, they might as well use services such as IPB's Cloud Plan - you get more out of it with a software with more features than Discourse itself.
NodeBB is a nice modern software similar to Flarum and Discourse. I'd check it out if anyone needs a new software!
Any free forum software out there?
Yes @Laifot, @Sir Twisted uses myBB on his forum unless I'm mistaken. I joined it just yesterday. It's a really nice one too. He uses a dark theme but it looks really well put together.
Thank you! Mybb is amazing free software, I've been using it for close to 6 years. Themes can vary, you can get stunning paid and free themes, but as I'm a web dev and designer, I prefer to make all my own themes.
