Has anybody else used Adobe Dreamweaver before? If so, what sort of programming/scripts/coding projects did you undertake using the tool? This was the first program I used to learn how to code basic HTML/CSS websites; I started with the view mode, and then, as my knowledge grew, I moved onto the sheet to add code lines.

No I never used it. One thing I will say is I'd rather use PHPStorm or Webstorm if I was designing a site. One thing I remember seeing in YT videos was the boxes you could fill out instead of writing code. I see that it would take me much longer then just creating it from scratch. I'm very talented at web development already. PHP and JS are next to fully grasp though my knowledge of CSS and most HTML is fairly decent.

I used it briefly way back when it was originally developed by Macromedia. However, it had a bad habit of adding a tonne of code that simply wasn't required.

I promptly learnt how to write HTML, wrote my first websites using Notepad, and never looked back.

@Joshi I'm not sure of anything quite with the features that's free but Visual Studio code is definitely the best integrated environment/text editor that's open source and free. If I'm ever using a text editor and not PHPStorm I use this.

Used it once for a school html class, seem pretty easy and fun. Though can it still be used with HTML5 out there?

I've used it for a course much like others, I've made a website for someone back about 12 years ago but that's about it. Not a fan at all to be honest.

Dreamweaver has been unpopular ever since it's release, barely anyone I know in the actual industry makes a case for using it because it either doesn't support modern workflows well or (put another way) encourages obsolete work practices. But Me though I never really got into it and used it.
